33. 5DMII Convert Video to Pencil Drawing
2 years ago
Second Clip testing some weird filters through Photoshop CS3. Since CS3 Adobe Photoshop supported video editing, but not many people have seen samples or have used it. It's actually quite fast, simple, and with imagination, you can come up with some really cool footage.

Here's a photoshoot video from a few weekends ago. I'm not allowed to release footage I shot until it's released on DVD, but since this is rendered into a sketch, i'm pretty sure you can't guess who the model is.....Thought you fellas might enjoy this test clip.

Anyone thinking of re-creating an A-HA video "Take on Me"??? Hahahaha mtv.com/videos/a-ha/7846/take-on-me.jhtml

Very cool!! I have CS4.. wonder if what I can do with that?
  • emmagination plus 2 years ago
Yeah CS4 can edit video and it's pretty cool to come up with different effects. I'm going to try color balancing through Photoshop since i'm more of a photographer, i'm used to Photoshop more than Vegas.

WOW... thats amazing. I will try it next time too. looks fantastic and i am curious about what else is possible with PS4 filters. THX for sharing!
How is the workflow? Is it easy enough for a newbe?

Yes. If you've used Photoshop before, it's pretty much the same as editing a photo. It will apply the filter to the entire video clip. If anyone happens to create a filter we should tag it with "Photoshop Filter".

Emmmm, wassup! I use Final Cut to edit and that filter in the MAC world is called Line Art. I think it's a pretty cool filter, but I haven't come up with a clever way to use it in my editing. I should use it on my kids, it'll make them look like cartoon figures since they are pretty little.

    the workflow is like this?
    1. import video to photoshop
    2. make many effex
    3. my question is how to render it to movie..

    thanks for sharing..
    i'm vegas user to..

The newer versions of Photoshop can edit video. You can pretty much apply the same effects and filters and then save it as a video file. Only if you didn't have After Effects.

because eventually i had do with the movies which i trancode to jpg sequence.. then i make fx on every sequence.. it's so waste time..

What sort of time does it take to render a video this length? Or as you said above, to save the video file? Once you apply the effect are you able to preview it fairly quickly?

    Cool idea!
