Boat Safety Fims Proprietor and Jazz Series Curator Giga Shane offers this rendition of the lovingly worn "Polka Dots and Moon Beams" as the next entry into Boat Safety Films' Jazz Archival Series. Played on solo guitar, the chosen instrument of Shane's baccalaureate matriculation, Polka Dots sings to us through the decades, while it is briefly resuscitated for the duration of this improv. This one goes out to the late Harold "Bubba" Thurston, who generously taught the young Shane free of charge during the humid Sarasota springtime of 1998. This arrangement is derived from the one originally imparted by Bubba during meetings that year.
