My first short (run time 16 min.), shot with the help of a couple of friends- Shawn Farley and James Kruize.
The basic concept was creativity is physical and inspiration comes from the act of creating not from having the gear.
Shot on a Canon A1, edited with Final Cut Pro, color design in Color and the soundtrack was created using Logic.

I think I was around 18 when I last had this mental block. Keep up the excellent work!
No Logic isn't user-friendly. I've blogged loudly and often about my hate of that program. Very unintuitive, very frustrating. What it does have over ProTools, which is my preferred DAW, is great sounding soft-synths and amp emulators. For sound track work that doesn't involve live audio it's actually worth the trouble and pain it causes me, but I wouldn't recommend switching over to it unless you've got plenty of aspirin and patience on hand.
