Dr. Henry Metzger is Scientist Emeritus at the Intramural Research Program of the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) at the National Institutes of Health, and was formerly Chief of Chemical Immunology and Director of Intramural Research for the NIAMS. Dr. Metzger was the president of The American Association of Immunologists from 1991 to 1992 and served as an AAI Council Member from 1986 to 1991. He was awarded the AAI Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999, and the AAI Distinguished Service Award in 1986.
