Thank you President Obama. Your speech contained a lot of things that our children need to hear. As a parent, I believe your speech reinforced things I tell my kids all the time. All Americans, not only young students, could benefit from the things you talked about. Great job!

Fantastic speech. Very moving. Very inspiring. This was really great to watch.

I hope this moment was a turning-point for many young people, that watching this and hearing Obama's words struck a chord in them that resonates though the year, and through their lives.

I think parent's should raise the children, not the Government. But, that's just me.

in a perfect world where every child has two wonderful parents at home, i would agree with you. but unfortunately, in this world many children do not have that. some children have parents who didn't even finish school themselves or parents who are forced to work two full-time jobs or who are addicted to drugs. there are many different children out there with very different family situations, should we just give up on all of them? should we not try to motivate those who need it most? those who aren't able to get the necessary motivation or support at home?

our president is not trying to raise anyone's kids (aside from his own) he's simply trying to motivate the students of today to create a better country for all of us tomorrow.

So, he could speak about the 70%+ Unwed mother issue in the African American community, too, but that's not quite as important right now. I'm guessing some of those kids are part of the group without heathcare?

And maybe he consider that the Liberal atmosphere that's been foisted into the school systems and especially in the colleges isn't working and might have something to do with the lack of graduations.
