
The Siren of the Sea (Part I)

This was my student thesis film for May 2006. It is a short documentary on the coffee mega, Starbucks. The idea to create a short documentary on Starbucks came along at a time when I was thinking and questioning the importance of authenticity within a defined American space/environment or community. Granted, Starbucks is in no way affiliated with this film. Even with an understood intention of shedding light and balance, the company kindly declined. Their image is simply too important.
There will be 4 parts to this 27 min. short documentary. Those will hopefully come at a later time. For now, I hope you enjoy the first six minutes of The Siren of the Sea.
