As a teacher, you know how meaningful it is to make a difference in a student’s life. But what if you were able to take your love of educating beyond your classroom, and make an impact on thousands of children through your colleagues?
Helping others master their craft could be the next step in your career. It’s called being a consulting teacher, or CT.
CTs support, coach, observe and provide professional learning for first and second-year teachers, and for teachers who need or request assistance.
Please contact Cheryl Dultz at (916) 979-8793 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about the position, stipends, the application process and other questions about the program.
There is an informational meeting for interested teachers scheduled for 4-5 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the San Juan Teachers Association offices, 5820 Landis, Suite 1 in Carmichael.
In the meantime, watch this video to learn more about what it’s like to be a CT and the rewards of serving in this capacity.
