This is a very short test simply to show whether the new firmware (1.2.1) gives you a step up in image quality via an uncompressed 1080p HDMI output. The output is clean of icons and Canon claim it is 4:2:2 but I don't think the sensor is actually sampling 4:2:2, so think of it as 4:2:0. This was recorded in 24p to the Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle. For the comparison to the internal codec I used IPB as I feel it gives the same if not a better image than the high bitrate ALL-I mode.
