The bathroom at McSorely's is strange because the door glass is transparent, and it seems as though other patrons eating nearby can't help but watch you as stand at the urinal.

I've been here. Isn't this supposedly the first bar in New York, and they only have two kinds of beer, and it's impossible to order only one at a time?
  • Jakob Lodwick 2 years ago
Yes. They didn't allow women to enter until the 1970s. I beer is so easy to drink, you can't not get drunk.

Wow... that just stirred up various bar-washroom memories... that comment sounds so wrong, but I'll post it nonetheless.

I like how the other panels not in the line of sight for urinals are frosted or whatever, but not the urinal-viewing ones.

The bartenders at McSorley's called me a girl. I cried very hard, left and vowed to outdo them someday. It's been 3 years now.
