Nothing seems to be going right for this band of merry fleas, but their mishaps create a far more entertaining performance.

While the fleas were all created and animated using CG, the set and props are entirely real. They were designed using similar computer graphic tools as the fleas, but they were then printed using a 3D printer, a machine that can interpret a computer originated 3D design into actuality.

The set pieces, after being carved by the printer, were then painted and textured by hand. Then, once the fleas were present in each shot, more texture and depth was created using digital post production tools.

HP's "Flea Circus" was recognized as Shoot's Top Spot of the Week, and as one of Creativity's Top Spots for Visuals.
