Infrasound LIVE is a responsive audiovisual installation which changes according to participatory movement. By exploring the space viewers can trigger different sounds. The piece aims to transport the viewer into a new environment; and through the examination of the space, helps them gain a deeper understanding of somewhere that is normally overlooked. All audio content is recorded using hand made transducer microphones and all visual content is filmed at the field recording locations.
This is a collaborative project between Zachary Apo-Tsang and Victoria Trinder. It was installed in the Morgue Space at Chelsea College of Art and Design has recently been selected for development and re-installation for ARUP’s Be Open sound portal and exhibited throughout June 2013.
