This the first teaser I made for the new Burton Film THE B. It is shot on a wide variety of cameras including RED, Canon 5D Mark II, Panasonic HVX200 with redrock adapter and a Sony CineAlta HDC-1500 used in the cineflex heli mount.

All of the cameras are fun to shoot with... but I was really impressed with the 5D Mark II. It was just really nice to have a camera that small producing such high quality video. Not to mention the great time lapses it produces. It's a great tool to add to the bag.

The full movie is out late Sept '09.

Amazing!!! I've been waiting for you to post it in high res for a long time...saw it on freecaster, jeremy's vimeo and burton.com. And your quote on cineflex announced a long time ago that you where making this ''B-roll''. Really nice those B themes. Montages have a huge shock factor. Thanks for always pushing the limit with filmmaking Brad. This sport is so worth it. Butchered and Bails are awsome.

Just watched The B last night. Great work! All the super Hi-Res shots had to have been the RED camera. Its sick how people just pop out of the background almost like a pop up book!!!
  • Brad Kremer plus 2 months ago
    Thanks Robert,

You would be surprised what shots are from the HVX. We really got all we could out of that camera. And then there's the 5DMarkII that produces some very crisp images. But of course the RED is amazing.

Is that Heikki on your avatar? That was a fun day!
  • Robert Strohmeyer plus 2 months ago
I've seen a lot about the 5DMarkII that I like and I plan on getting one once work is more constant. It's really good at time lapsing. There are a few time lapsed nature and city videos I've seen shot with it and they look great!

And it is Heikki, Ever since I saw this photo I've had it as a avatar on something. The shot is so sick! Did you take that particular shot or were you there?

  • Love the work. What did you think of the redrock?
  • Brad Kremer plus 2 months ago
Thanks... The redrock works great. Most of those adapters are a bit jankey in my opinion. But they do work. And they do produce a great looking shot that you couldnt get otherwise from something like the HVX. Using them on snow all the time is a tough challenge for sure. But I back them.
  • Thanks for getting back to me. If you have another sec. why the redrock over others like the Letus?
  • Brad Kremer plus 2 months ago
That's simple... Because redrock gave us a couple setups.

But I'll say this for it. We definitely put them to the test. A lot of extreme in the field work that they dont usually get. And they worked great. Definitely impressed.
