Haha, great job guys. I was a little disappointed though that it was cut so short..

Great behind the scenes animation work.

The film grain was also a little annoying. Might want to tone that down a little more.

Hey thanks! Yeah... Cliffy was a little disappointed about it getting cut short there too.

With the grain we were going for that 60's look... if anything I thought I was being too tame with it. We'll see in a few days when I take a fresh look.

great work. strong finish. i like the abrupt ending.
i think the filmgrain doesn't blend that well with the actuall movie. the grain appears a little flat.
    but hey.... great movie!!

What you're talking about isn't film grain but dirt... I, too, think there could be a little less of that. Now emulated film grain, on the other hand, would probably be a cool look for this short.

Anyway, I like this one a lot. Good work!

awesome work - love the combination of elements blended together. really nice consistent look despite the different media involved. can't wait to see something longer... great to include the 'making of' showing the amount of work that goes into this type of work!

Nice. Really liked the lights and shades of the backgrounds (and the integration of two different medias), and the abrupt ending.

perfect ending, i really cracked up i was so surprised. I didn't really feel like watching a whole theft sequence (we've all seen too many and the only one really that sticks to mind is the one with Catherine Zeta Jones' ass in the air) so the ending was just, yeah perfect. And the animation of the clay dude is superb.

I LOVE this style of art/film! It's great.

How did you combine the stop motion with the digital art? Was it just greenscreen?
  • Mike McCain plus 1 month ago
Yep, just greenscreen! You can see towards the end of the 'making of' how it went - filmed on greenscreen, keyed & then comped into the environment.

Love this but why is "screw you" cartoon bubble included in the behind the scenes segment?
