    Great!
You eat with a teaspoon? ;-)

Camera has some focusing problems it seems
And did you film the fish eye really via the spoon or did you use fisheye lens and some filtering?
  • Matt Taylor 2 years ago
Thanks! I don't always eat with a teaspoon, only when I don't feel like attaching a different spoon to my camera!

I did not use a fisheye lens or any filtering when filming the close-up of the spoon's head, that's just how it looks.

The focusing problem may be that I intentionally manual focused on the spoon and let everything else be a little blurry, if that's the part your referring too!

I just recently got my camera and I really have to take the time to learn how to get good footage from it before I start making videos. I was so excited to get started that for my first few videos I just picked it up and ran with it. I've seen the type of awesome raw footage that others can get from the hv20 and I just have to sit down and learn that part before I continue putting a bunch of time into footage that isn't as good as it could be!

"I did not use a fisheye lens or any filtering when filming the close-up of the spoon's head, that's just how it looks."

Then that works much better than I would expect.
    Thanks for the elaboration!

Incredible. Gives a whole new meaning to 'spooning'.
  • Matt Taylor 2 years ago
    Thanks skipper!

I was going to have a brief scene of two spoons spooning and then maybe make it a threesome by adding in a fork or something, but I never got around to it! I thought it would be funny though!

Your spoon rocks! It would be great to see a short drama from the POV of a utensil.
  • Matt Taylor 2 years ago
Thanks! That would be funny, a day in the life of a fork or a knife gone bad. The Flatware Chronicles.

Haha i laughed all the way through that, dunno if that was the effect you were looking for, maybe it was the music, very entertaining :-)
  • Matt Taylor 2 years ago
Thanks! That's definatley the effect I was hoping it would have. For some reason the idea of an action-packed spoon struck me as being funny!

Cool video, you did manage to make a spoon interesting. The point of view camera was a great idea!

Oh and the steaming up of the lens made it even more immersive, I could almost smell the tea :)
  • Matt Taylor 2 years ago
    Thank you Attila!
