Misel Quitno's 'Sleep Over Pieces Vol. 1', released in 2007 by Everest / Ehstrawlogy Produkte, was the score to an imaginary movie from an imaginary 60s or 70s. A library record with bass, drums, nasty synthesizers, funny voices and swirly, warbly delays. An experiment in creating a loose, retro-sounding hommage to the strange and beautiful sounds of the birth years of "electronic" music. An ode to library records of all kinds aswell. It's been recorded with the help of a 4-track tape machine for the real and original grit, room and hiss, any cheap instrument or object that can make a half-way decent sound, and, of course, a computer. myspace.com/miselquitno

To then have other people sample bits off the finished vinyl was an inherent part of the concept – and, finally, here is some of its outcome.

Vinyl + Digital of 'Sleep Over Remixes Vol. 1', including remixes by Ritornell, J. Sayne, Dorian Concept, Dimlite and Caural: November 2009, on Ish Records / Ehstrawlogy Produkte.
