We visited the geothermal area of Haukadalur in July 2012 and got to witness Strokkur, one of Icelands most reliable geysers, in action. At it's peak it can reach 40ft and it's known to erupt every 4-8 minutes or so. It took me about five takes to get this fortuitously close shot as I was being tossed around by excited Danish tourists up until this point.
