Created by SFDS parents Gabrey and Tommy Means (Mekanism), this video highlights the making of a community art piece inspired by jazz. Two hundred "buddy pairs" listened to jazz and inscribed their feelings and emotions onto a square of copper. As with jazz, the individual contributions melded together into a stunning masterpiece in the ultimate improvisation. Photos courtesy of SFDS parents: John DeSouza, Lisa Kessler, and Sona Sondhi. Art piece was originally conceived and completed by SFDS parent, Erica Desouza. Thank you to our parents, teachers, and students, for producing a unique and beautiful work of art.
