On April 13th, 2013, three juniors of New Media at Purchase College documented the activities they participated in every hour on the hour. For 24 straight hours, J.L Fishbein, Alexa Espinal, and George Berns took one 6-8 second video of their surroundings during the Culture Shock Music Festival in Purchase, New York.
The result was an intense portrait of three individuals and an insight into a day in the life of visual arts students of the SUNY system.
This video piece was presented in an installation designed by Fishbein, Espinal, and Berns on May 2nd, 2013 in the J Street Gallery. The installation encompassed all that was "Culture Shock" to an average Purchase College student. This video is best viewed on a loop cycle, starting and ending with 12AM.
