2013 Northern Lights Photography Workshop Slide Show

I was luck enough to visit Churchill, Manitoba with Jim Halfpenny and a group of fantastic photographers back in early March. We went all the way up to Churchill Northern Studies Centre, to the edge of the Arctic, to photograph the Aurora Borealis.

It was cold up there. It was dark. It was really challenging to shoot with frozen fingers, toes, and eyelashes but this photography workshop was such an incredible experience. As you can see, everyone captured fantastic images of the skies and of life in the frozen north. I am delighted that I can finally share the group's final slide show today.

Thanks again to all my new friends and to everyone that we met up in Churchill!

P.S. This slideshow is the first project that I have completed using the new Adobe Photoshop Lightroom v5 Beta. The Lightroom v5 beta has some great new tools--like content aware healing and radial gradients--that really helped as I retouched all these files but it also has some quirks. We photographers will be very happy when they finally get all the bugs worked out....
