  • oy that's cool. I can't wait to see what you do with that.

It's really just a practicality thing, it means I don't have to keep hunting for the record button when using the tripod or multirig.

Zoom is handy too for setting up shots, but I'm not really a fan of zooming during recording.
  • I'm glad you said that.

sometimes zooms KILL ME..when i see them in films.

I feel like only few people can pull them off..and can do it well...

    but it's always so Jarring.

I want a button that does crane shots and tracking shots
    haha

But this kind of remote is really nice when doing live video recordings, like gigs or theatre. I did some with this kind of controller and without, with is a relief and you are able to make much nicer zooms.
    But that's my opinion ;)

Is it pressure sensitive or fixed speed?

What about focus? When you have to zoom in and out alot in multiples objects you let focus on auto or do you hunt it manually?
  • Paul Joy 7 months ago
It's pressure sensitive, which is how it does those feathered zooms in the video. No focus, I use manual focus with my other hand.

Crap! I just bought the Bebop control. I love my Libec that I use for my Z1U. What's the cost on this control?
  • Paul Joy 6 months ago
    I paid £199 (GBP)

The bebop cost me $375 US from B&H in New York.

Looks nice , but also looked like the only one available when I bought it last week.

silky smooth zooms! Doesn't sony make a LANC controller?
  •
  • Where'd you go?

Looks little hard to control it for a slow start. I have one exactly the same for the FX1. Its kinda tough to make a crawling zoom compared to the Varizoom stealth. Wonder if there will be one with adjustable speed.
