Marisa, the bride, had no idea what the guys were up to at the Garden City Hotel while they got dressed. Jesse, the groom pointed out to Pennylane filmmaker RJ that the guys were planning on doing the Harlem Shake after some inspiration from LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
Back at the bridal suite at Pine Hollow Country Club, Marisa and the girls were finishing up their hair and makeup in anticipation for the first look. The circular stairs at the venue allowed us to capture a great moment when Marisa and Jesse saw each other for the first time. We had the pleasure of working with one of the best photographers around, Susan Stripling, who is always an inspiration to Pennylane (plus she's really really funny.)
Around 6:30pm, Stripling had helped setup the perfect positioning of the ketubah signing in a crowded room. The lighting was stunning as it peaked through the window behind Marisa and Jesse and by 7pm, the processional had started. The ceremony decor was beautiful and Chuppah was finally ready after watching the crew build it for hours and hours. As the beautiful bride walked down the aisle to her beloved, her smile radiated throughout the room. She giggled as she circled her groom and the bridesmaids giggled back.
One the the coolest parts of the ceremony was listening to Marisa and Jesse read, in their own words, how they feel about each other and Rabbi who flew in from out-of-state was actually the cousin of the groom so this was very special.
