What a great day! NE winds at 8-12 mph, dry 80 degrees, sky full of cirrus clouds. Six guys out at the sod farm to enjoy it all.
Ed, Tony, Rich, Mark M., Pete and I arrived between 10 – 11 am. I had decided to re- string the first ½ of the line on my winch.
Then we were soon up and enjoying the great lift.
Today I realized that the there has been an increase in the quality of launches and flights. Ed and Rich had unbelievable launches. Ed is ready for contest seen, he was launching and flying great. Rich, he’s perfecting his thermal and landings abilities. Mark and Tony wrung out the winch for some superb launches and eye squinting flights.
“ Pete needs a plane”. Pete spent a lot of time shagging the shoot… Thanks. He enjoyed the day being out there with us.
I wanted to try out a new video camera that I mounted on the top of my Airtronics Legend. It runs off of two AAA lithium batteries. It is equipped with the wide angle lens. Giving the wings an effect of being bent. goprocamera.com/index.php?area=2&productid=4
I did not use the water tight case and mount. Ended up just using Velcro.
I have used the camera on many applications so far… would recommend giving the standard lens a try, if you go with Hero GOPro on the planes.
This video was about my 4th one I had taken. During launch (10 seconds into the video) I gave this plane too much of a Zoom. You can see the Legend vibrate and hear it, as the right wing fluttered. No extreme damage was done.
I sure did not want to go home when I did. I was having a good time.

Hmm…it looks like things are taking a while to load. Try again?
