Teaching a photography workshop at Blackberry Farm is such a wonderful experience. This amazing place is an absolute paradise for photographers. This year, the Redbud trees were bursting with color and the nights were warm and clear. Surrounded by such great food, wine, and scenic beauty, all of our photo shoots were spectacular!
Three weeks ago, Blackberry Farm was selected as the top resort in the country for Bon Appétit Magazine's story on the “10 Best Hotels in America For Food Lover’s.” Two day's ago, Blackberry's head chef, Joseph Lenn, was honored with this year's James Beard award for Best Chef Southeast. Chef Lenn is the first chef from Tennessee to win this distinction!
A big thank you to my co-teacher Heather Anne Thomas of Beall & Thomas Photography. A big thank you to Dan Longo whose photographic wisdom, and good cheer, made this class even more fun. An enormous thanks to all of the resort's staff who make this workshop possible and who make photographing at Blackberry Farm such a special treat.
Finally, and most of all, a huge thanks to all who participated in this year's event. I had a great time. Your photos are beautiful and I hope to see ya'll again next year!
