Ok, "Red Tails" had some pretty cool action scenes, and a $65,000,000 budget, but if you want to see the real story of the Tuskegee Airmen take a look at this short film. Produced in association with The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) "Spirit of Tuskegee" tells the story of the brave, dedicated men and the Stearman PT13 airplane that many of the pilots trained in to prepare for combat over the skies of Europe during WWII. The plane was a project and during the rebuilt, by Matt and Tiny Quy, they discovered the deep story of the Tuskegee Airmen. The plane will be part of a permanent exhibit when the NMAAHC opens it's doors on the National Mall, in 2015.
