This video illustrates how an aluminum windsurfing boom flexes under normal sailing conditions. The sailor is heavier than normal (200 lbs), but the wind is light and the water is flat. The amount of flex would depend upon many factors, including boom brand and size, amount of extension, sailor weight, sail size, etc.
I didn't intend to make a video about boom flexing, but was surprised to see it and thought I'd share.
