NOTE: Pause the video for awhile so it loads, it's a large file, and turn up the sound, great soundtrack!
On 4-24-2013 the Balentines went to Mexico, south of Playa Del Carmen.
We visited Xel-ha eco-water park, Xplor zip line park, and spent many hours at the beach.
This video shows Xel-ha snorkeling and fun at the beach & pool, with cameos by the local Iguana, stingray, and the Coati, which are raccoonlike mammals with a long, flexible snouts and a ringed tails.
All video is original footage, shot by each of us, with soundtrack "Say Hey (I Love You)" by Michael Franti & Spearhead (2008).
It took about 20 hours to make this video as there was a lot of great footage to choose from, especially underwater shots. Emily plays alto sax for the beginning of the video. It's unfortunate we could not get video of the Xplor zip line park, but our GoPro Hero 3 stopped working before then and never turned on again.
It was a beautiful area and a wonderful trip and this video captures some of the fun we had in the warm Mexico sun.
We arrived back home on 5-1-2013 and the next day was greeted by 5 inches of heavy wet snow.
The video was shot with two cameras;
GoPro Hero 3 black edition, set with protune on, auto white balance, and frame selection of 1920X1080, 60fps progressive. Most of the video was shot with the Hero 3.
Canon HFS-10, 1440X1080 30fps, interlace, wide angle lens on some shots.
The video was edited with Pinnacle Studio Ultimate version 14 on Windows 7 and then converted to H264 mp4 by Emicsoft Studio.
