Beschäftigung versus Gestaltungstrieb...
A new cut-out animation, featuring optical patterns and reference material from my paintings. I decided to try using the material together in a motion context.
I added the gradients in Final Cut; the soundtrack was composed using a Commodore 64 Tracker developed by Lasse Öörni called Goat Tracker:

A lot of the animation came from building in a modular way on visual ideas; the results are more than a work in progress, but i think about this as a benchmark.
