Besides the first two shots, everything was shot on the 100mm macro lens
This was done as part of the 30 second film club. The idea of the film club is to produce at least 30 seconds of footage every week. For this segment, I didn't leave my back yard. I got my hands on the Canon 100mm prime lens so I decided to test it out and shoot some macro footage. The lens won't shoot the eyeball of a spider, but you can get some pretty close shots with it. It allows you to focus within 12 inches of the subject.
The first two shots were done with the lens detached from the camera which allowed for all the light leaks, focus pops and the tilt-shift-like effect. You can look up the technique on-line, it's called Lens Whacking. Pretty cool and a very stylized look.
