In 2006 the Ghanian government passed a disability act. Three years on, The Eastern Disability Network and The National Bureau for Students with Disabilities, two Disabled Persons Organisations based in Koforidua, decided to find out what impact the act has had for people with disabilities in eastern Ghana.
Individuals speak about their personal experiences living with disabilities, the discrimination they face, the challenges they have overcome and their hopes for the future. The documentary also explores some of the NGO led initiatives which are bringing new opportunities for people with disabilities.
