Reaction of Li with Alloy Thin Films - Atomic Force Microscopy (In-situ)

Dahn Lab

The bottom of the panel shows the voltage versus time plot of a metallic film cycled against pure lithium metal. The image on the left of the panel shows the the initial image of the electrode in the experiment. This image serves as a basis for comparison as the image on the right changes with time. As the right-hand image changes, a red dot on the voltage curve will also move indicating at which point of charge (or discharge) the right-hand image was taken. (Movie 1)
