In order to celebrate the Golden Gate's 75th anniversary, we created an online experience that gives users the tools to build the world's longest virtual bridge.

Teaming up with Google, the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and Goodby Silverstein Partners, we created a website that allows users to connect all the bridges in the world to the most famous bridge of all: the Golden Gate Bridge, as part of the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. The site was live for the year-long anniversary of the bridge and was a huge success as part of the overall campaign to raise awareness of the anniversary.

Using a combination of Google's API, Javascript and a series of advanced mathematical formulas, we let users grab their favorite bridge from Google Maps and through the power of social media and create a seamless chain of connected bridges, regardless of each one’s orientation or location. The result was a seemingly endless set of bridges - each one connected to the last. It spanned over 17,500,000 feet long with contributors and bridges from over 109 different countries.

We are now Famous for constructing the world's longest bridge, albeit virtually.
