Christ is our Treasure
“For where your treasure is there your heart will be also.” [Luke 12:34 (NKJV)]
What is it that keeps us from being active in the church? Is it our lust for money? Working on Sunday means we have lost our treasure.
Is it our love for our children? Abram was commanded by God to sacrifice his son. Abram had a relationship with God. Abram’s willingness to offer up his son as a sacrifice showed God that Isaac was not his greatest treasure; God was. God connects what you love the most for your treasure. Make sure even your children are not your treasure; make sure God is.
Submit to God and listen to His instructions. Are we listening to what God is saying to us Sunday after Sunday? Turn to God and He will restore you. Obey and submit. If we fulfil our vows to Him, light will shine on the road ahead. There is no one more important than God and his Kingdom. Many of us need to get back to that peace.
It’s only when God tests us that we know where our treasure is. Jesus should always be our treasure.
