Racial Profiling is a series of portraits by Carlos Alvarez Montero and Q&A’s highlighting prominent, influential Mexican tastemakers and artists in New York City, Mexico City, and Los Angeles. The title spins the controversial association and celebrates the multicultural experience that makes up a contemporary Mexican identity.
On Friday April 19th, Mex and the City celebrated with a reception and panel discussion featuring Carlos Alvarez Montero and several personalities from our 2013 NYC Racial Profiling roster: IBM Scientist Pablo Meyer, curator Aldo Sanchez, artist Ariel Roman, and Brittany Gallardo, a high school student who participated in M&TC's pilot program Movement Makers for the Essex Street Academy in the LES.
