A philosophical rant regarding man's inclination to escape the bleak truth that is reality.

Brandon Spanis 7 months agoNote: When I say "goal" I do not necessarily mean purpose. What I meant was that it is our natural inclination as humans to escape from this awareness. It is not necessarily what we should do, however it is often what we end up doing.

Jeremy Ruhland 7 months agoI fixed all my existential crisis problems with quantum immortality theory. Probably the only long term solution though, would be nonsentience (which is supposable more efficient biologically than sentience anyway). -
Brandon Spanis 7 months agoI used to be very nihilistic, but recent philosophical breakthroughs and realizations of reality have brought me out of that. It's pretty complicated, but all philosophy is. I appreciate your thoughts though.
