...It's a research of possible relationship/s with the media art histories by a contemporary artist. While the postmodernism criticaly deconstructs Great Histories enabling an artist to self-create her own micro-relationships with histories, the postmodern conteporaneity frequently supports apathy towards historical memory. "Retrospections" is a framework for such self-created historiographies, where within a media-saturated image-trashin' environment contemporaneity can talk to the histories while at the same time past is enriching present through editing, deformation, reconstruction and remix - creative [re]interpretations - and honouring the old with requestioning the new and vice versa...
