In January 2013 Harrietville in the Victorian alpine region has been hit with a massive bushfire.
The fire circled the township for two months and claimed the lives of two firefighters.
Exactly a month after the fire has been contained and burned itself out a flash flood finished off what the fire did not manage to destroy.
I witnessed the first few days of the fire and only managed to go back the day after the flood.
Taking a break from a clean up, I went for a walk in the forest. This short movie was taken without any preparation, using a pocket camera and is a record of the damage in one small valley along the Owens River.
