For Mobile Print Power’s first public project participants designed a gift exchange with passers-by in the plaza. The plan was to print images for passers-by, as long as they provided material to print on. They could choose whatever designs they liked from the groups inventory of work, which includes imagery based around themes such as migration, shared public space, and communication. Since participants have become proficient printmakers, they shared their knowledge of the process as they create these unique prints.
For the second part of the exchange the passer-by was asked to print one image with assistance from Mobile Print Power participants. This part of the activity was important as it represented the exchange of knowledge between participants and members of their community in the plaza.
