This course is a general overview of the responsibilities associated with anyone who works with or around children. Child abuse and neglect reporting is mandated by law for volunteers who work around children, social workers, teachers, principals, and other school personnel, physicians, nurses, and other health-care workers, counselors, therapists, and other mental health professionals, child care providers, Medical examiners or coroners, law enforcement officers.
We have answered some basic questions in our course such as:
What is the definition of child abuse?
What is NOT considered child abuse?
When should I make a report?
Can I be sued if the reported suspicions are later dismissed?
Can I make a report anonymously?
Our course is divided into seven chapters and contains interviews with educators, law enforcement officials, medical professionals, and public officials who give the benefit of their training and experience to the viewer. The course is two hours long and contains quizzes for audience comprehension along with a printable certificate of completion
