When we understand the love that Christ has shown us, there is no way to withhold this love from others. Jesus saw past our sin to a people that needed to be made whole. We see this in Mark 5 when Jesus steps into the unclean life of a woman that everyone had labeled unreachable. However, Jesus ignores the crowd’s unanimous opinion and brought healing and wholeness. This is true for each of our lives in Christ. We must not allow our own opinion or even the opinion of others to define Christ’s ability to heal us. His grace is sufficient to reach all people. As we reflect on these questions, our hearts should burst forth with passion to see Christ reach people far from Him just as He reached us.
1. How did Jesus treat you?
2. What did Jesus overcome to reach you?
3. In light of what Jesus has done in your life, whose unreachable?
The only question left to answer is, “Will you be obedient to God’s command to take the hope of Christ to the unreachable?”
