To create the illusion of depth from 2-dimensional photos it was necessary to fabricate content that would come into view as the camera zoomed in.The trick was to create walls, furniture, buildings, landscapes and body parts that can pass as realistic elements of the scene. For the hockey arena, entire rows of humans needed to be created from merely a hand or top of a head. The last image was something I had to whip up for an urgent on-air request. The team wanted to spoof Al Roker for the release of Avatar. I completed transforming Al into an "Alvatar" in minutes.
