Fourth Grade students recently completed a composition unit using MadPadHD on iPad minis. We watched parts of STOMP as our inspiration. We discussed how the performers used a variety of sounds, but one sequence of rhythms or used one sound with layered rhythms. Students planned their compositions based on what they had learned with STOMP. They recorded a series of 12 sounds on the iPad mini. Then, using MadPadHD, the students created a sequence with those sounds.
