Our vacation video. Shot mostly with Sony HDR-CX100 with mini DV steadicam. Edited with iMovie 09. Music by Blackeyed Peas.

Most of that video is in-freaking-sane quality for a $400-something camcorder. What did you mean by "minidv steadicam"?

I see you finally bumped up to the cx500v. How's the different in picture quality looking? Worth the extra money? Do a comparison video!

Thanks, Kc. Check out the steadicam here balvanzenterprises.com/MiniDV%20Steadycam.html?gclid=CLDWjeal2ZwCFQS7sgod7jAELg.
CX500v is worth it. Its much better in low light. Optical stabilization is very nice. And it has a pro G lens.

awesome video, looks incredible. did you use the image stabalization with imovie in some parts?
  • Oleg Matossian 2 years ago
Thanks, I don't think I used any stabilization in iMovie. I did use a steadicam for some shots.

Video looks great for what the camera is - if those DOF shots were from it I would be all over it.

Extra cool video, the beach shots looked great and your follow focus work is awesome. I love the length of this video for the energy alone... that was a lot of work so thanks for sharing. The fisheye time laps at the end...you rock
