I'm not sure I've ever been this nervous (or excited) to shoot a wedding.

I've known Rusty now for about six years; his groomsmen Ken was my roommate before I got married about five years ago. Our friendship has grown tremendously over the last few years, and I've been blessed to work alongside Rusty for a number of weddings over the last few years. There isn't a better photographer to work with, and if you haven't checked out his work, then you are missing out on the good stuff - waldronphotograph.co/

Anyhow, I always want to do my best. I take great pride in working with folks on such an important day, and my only hope is that, through video, I'll be able to provide something that will hold meaning for years and years. But when some of my best friends are the ones getting married, there is certainly an added pressure - not to mention that the wonderful Alea Lovely was handling photo, or that I knew there were going to be countless other incredible photographers celebrating in their seats as well.

But when I finally starting hanging out with Lizzie that morning, I was immediately at peace. Maybe it was how incredibly adorable Lizzie is when she says 'dangit' everytime she started to cry. Maybe it was the fact that the Wright's and the Linderer's are the most incredible families on earth, or maybe it was simply that the union of Rusty and Lizzie is just so dang good. Whatever it was, my anxiety over getting the 'perfect shots' melted, and I was able to experience and enjoy the jubilation more than any wedding I've ever been a part of.

If we were ever to get into a theological discussion, I'd start arguing that I don't believe in the idea of 'one true love' - but it is almost as if Rusty and Lizzie were really made for each other. They're just perfect. Everything about this day was perfect, and I feel so incredibly blessed to have been a part of telling Rusty and Lizzie's story.

There is a lot of goodness to happen with the Wright's, and hopefully we'll get to be a small part of that for years to come.

Rusty and Lizzie, for the hundredth time - congratulations. We love you guys.
