This is a short film/music video I made in support of an instrumental album I'm working on called "The Revealing". The joint is called "Believe". I made this at a time when I needed to believe in myself and find my inner strength.I'm sure a lot of you have been down that road... So it was a trip when I heard this sample and my frame of mind during that moment: It just lined up. Like it was delivered to me... What came out in the process, and the "feel of the beat"-It was a perfect translation... anyway, sorry for the sob story...I love makin beats.
Made with my Hv20 and Imovie. please enjoy:)

artistically I say great. For an actual movie or anything interesting though I pretty much gave up at the 4:30 mark. It takes forever to key up and I could pretty much fall asleep during this. 4 minutes is an eternity when listening to music or watching something on tv that is going nowhere

Thanks for the critique! Next time I work on a short film, I'll shorten it or try to bring more interesting elements in quicker. I can see how some people might lose interest if there is no strong attachement to the source material or culture... it's my first attempt but I'll learn as I go:)

Good stuff Vinroc....Been following you since the 5th Platoon days and when you use to rep all the battles(ITF,DMC, and so on). In fact, I think you spun one of our parties(Soled Out LA). Beat making, crate digging, turntablism was such a part of my life for a long time, and still is, and this spoke volumes t my heart man. For real. I have been in those states before, where creativity seems to be given from above, and is a tap from God on your shoulder saying, hey holmes, I love you man. Thats the way I feel at least. imovie lets you add bars. I used it cuz the split screen plugin i used was a demo i found online and it had a demo mark so I had to cover it up with black bars

The album has been split into two actually. an instrumental album and " revealing" is now a more traditional album. havn't decided where I will put the believe track yet. winter 08 is what I'm hoping for for at least one of them. As a producer (and having used the MPC 2000XL) I know the feeling.

And can verify that this is pretty much how the process goes.
Allthough its less of a "awe" moment when you hit the melody right on the pads... it sorto' just happens and you keep on progressing and developing the song.
