Wearing an ultrasonic range finder on our wrists, Sue Syn and I painted with our hands and interpreted the distance between the canvas and our hands as the value of each pixel in the difference of each frame. To be honest, this was a compromise of an earlier idea in which the distance of our hands from the canvas would warp the final image we created.
The pcomp was handled with an Arduino and the values were sent to Processing.
