Nearly all of Israel’s blood is collected, tested, and distributed to hospitals by Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s national ambulance and blood services organization. In a nation of 8 million people, it’s a big job. But the building that houses the blood center is no longer adequate.
When the center was built in the 1980s, it was a state-of-the-art facility. Today, it desperately needs to be updated as it's too small for Israel's growing population and vulnerable to attack. Now is the time to help build a new blood center that can ensure Israel’s lifeblood remains as vital as ever.
