Written, Directed, and Produced by Zach Bales and Jon Large, "A Good Man Is Hard to Find" tells the story of an honest detective (Eric Whitson) and a wayward assassin (Neil Compton) who are locked in a game of cat and mouse.

Filmed as part of Somerset Community College's 48-Hour Film Festival (2009), "A Good Man Is Hard To Find" won four awards: Best Editing, the People's Choice Award, Best Technical Excellence, and Best Film. The film was required to be a "Coen Brothers Homage," and include four elements: the character "Super Cool Sam," the dialogue "tinker toy or no tinker toy, I'm going in there," a pair of nerdy glasses, and a refrigerator magnet.
