I stumbled onto this odd little event: ELECTRATHON. Battery powered carts in a marathon in which the winner is determined by how far you go in a certain time with a given amount of battery power.
I image this is how the Grand Prix will be in the future, less about speed and combustion engines but more about charges and endurance. Plus instead of the roar of the engine, you hear the buzz of electric motors. Overall it's kind of like holding a race with wind up watches to see who's slows down first.
