"The Tree" is a short film we created for the Houston 24 hour Film Race. At the start of the 24hr period they gave us a theme and something that had to be included in the film, we then had 24hrs to create the whole thing from scratch. This is one of my first true short films, and definitely the first time I've had to make a film like this in 24hrs, so the experience was pretty crazy.

We created "The Tree" to be fairly abstract because we wanted everyone to have their opinions about what the story was about. Some ideas in the film aren't very clear, while others should be pretty obvious.

    Thanks for the comment! This was filmed at 1080/30p. Outdoor stuff was at 1/60 shutter and several different aperture settings. Indoor stuff was 1/60 shutter with full open aperture. I used the most neutral of the color profiles and did all color correction/changes in post.
