Following the summit of the South Sister, Sam and Fred set their sights on Hood and Adams. Due to low visibility and more precipitating clouds in the distance they decided to call the Hood ascent mid-way up the snow fields above Palmer glacier. The wet weather did not let up through the weekend and they were forced to wait it out in Portland. Nevertheless, the first window of weather they saw they pounced on, riding from Portland and bagging Adams just in the nick of time before another wave of low pressure descended upon the Pacific Northwest. Here is a small video of their adventure.
